My background is in Occupational Psychology. I am a chartered and registered Occupational Psychologist (HCPC), an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Division of Occupational Psychology (DOP), as well as a Principal Practitioner member of the Association of Business Psychology (ABP).
With a wealth of experience in psychometrics (Hogan suite (HPI, HDS, MVPI), Wave, MBTI -Step I and II, Emotional Intelligence Profile (EIP), OPQ, and TMP), and a trained facilitator of Action Learning, I have a particular interest in emotional intelligence, and understanding what drives and empowers individuals to excel.
I've worked in-house in L&D and People Development and know how important it is that you find the right partner to work with. My approach is to understand and live your culture. I'll work truly alongside you so be ready for lots of questions!
We can design and deliver together, you can ask me to come in and share my knowledge as a consultant or you can outsource the whole diagnosis, design and delivery to me - whatever works best for you.
With over 16 years' experience working both in-house for large, complex, global companies and as an external consultant, I have broad industry experience crossing media, professional services, banking, technology, consulting and charity sectors. I bring that experience of different corporate cultures and develop initiatives that 'fit' or challenge existing cultures.
All the qualifications and letters after my name are one thing but what they don't show is my passion and energy. Fun is hugely important in my work and I enjoy working with people who like to laugh!
I am truly curious about what makes people tick, what motivates them, what drives them, what helps them achieve their goals and, of course, what gets in the way of them achieving their potential. Not only individuals, but organisations too. I continue to explore and learn how people, organisations and culture can combine successfully, and flexibly, in today’s ever-changing world.
"Fiona has been fantastic to work with, she listened carefully to our brief and created bespoke workshops that suited a varied employee group. She worked extremely collaboratively, taking our ideas on board and effectively incorporating the needs of our specific proposition into the training. She delivered the training in a way that appealed to her audience and was credible. We have recently completed an employee engagement survey and Fiona’s training was highlighted as a successful and engaging addition to our training portfolio, improving overall employee satisfaction."

"Fiona delivered the BBC women’s leadership scheme I attended. Every section was well thought through and presented – from resilience to leadership styles, and building networks to emotional intelligence. She has the ability to engage and enthuse everyone in the room with her depth of knowledge and expertise, and has genuine likeability. Fiona takes everyone along with her, and retains their interest for the duration leaving them with new skills to take back to the business."
Sarah Hughes, BBC
"I really appreciated Fiona's positive approach and skills as a coach, and I only have positive feedback for her! She listened very closely to what I was saying and was able to guide me through a way of thinking about my challenges through a process that I could never have done on my own. Without telling me what to do, and with as much support as possible."

"Fiona partnered with us on the design and delivery of an interactive workshop which formed part of a wider project on In-Memory Fundraising. It was rolled out twice in two different locations within the UK. From the outset, she quickly grasped the brief and provided fresh perspectives based on her extensive L&D knowledge & expertise. She worked in collaboration with us to determine the workshop content, sourced and liaised with actors to support the day as well as prepared a detailed workshop session plan. When it came to the workshop itself, Fiona’s facilitation style was professional and engaging.
I’ll leave you with a couple of comments from attendees that sums up Fiona’s style …
“Fiona did a great job at keeping people engaged and interested in what was a pretty full on day. It was clear that a lot of work went into the day and it definitely paid off”
“I thought the event was exceptionally well facilitated, delivery was strong, purposeful, interesting with deft touches and ran like clockwork. Fiona who has worked with external companies including BBC was like a breath of fresh air and so insightful and the actors were the icing of the cake, really helped to frame the sessions”
Learning & Development Manager, UK charity
"Fiona has just delivered a series of workshops (remotely, of course) on Managing remote teams to our management community. She is a joy to work with as together we navigate the challenges of online training. Always positive but also thoughtful - providing real value in her content. Her delivery is excellent, this from our Finance Director “Fiona managed the 2 hour time well – I wondered if she would struggle to maintain interest as it is a difficult situation but she did a good job and this was never an issue”. She listens to feedback and adapted the content as we progressed through the workshops. We are now discussing follow up material. I would recommend Fiona - efficient and effective."
Learning & Development Manager, Engineering & Research Consultancy
"I really liked her flexibility to respond to my needs, and the ability to relate theoretical tools to my specific circumstances. I also appreciated the ability to listen and to support the identification of concrete solutions through asking a lot of questions!"
